YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister of Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs, officially inaugurated the supermarket and department store in the presence of Nishad PA, Director of LuLu Group Malaysia & Indonesia; Asif MA, Regional Director of LuLu Malaysia; and other dignitaries and businessmen.
The new shopping destination, which is strategically located at Setia Ecohill Mall in the Kajang-Semenyih growth corridor, is easily accessible via the Cheras-Kajang Expressway, SKVE (through SILK Highway) and LEKAS. It has a total area of around 36, 000 sq. ft. The new store has been designed using the latest retail space concepts and most modern technology for ease of shopping and will serve the 600,000 population in Semenyih and its nearby areas for their daily shopping needs.

Lulu Hypermarket Malaysia always supports local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to grow together by providing selling spaces inside lulu stores. They export SME products to the Gulf countries. Presently, there are more than 300 local SME companies registered with Lulu Malaysia.
