HENNESSY Kicks Off CNY Celebrations With “RENEWAL OF HOPE”

In conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year festivities, Moët Hennessy Diageo (MHD) Malaysia today launched its promotional campaign for Hennessy. As part of its celebrations, the world’s best-selling Cognac brand will usher in the year of the rat - which also marks the dawn of a new 12-year-cycle in the Chinese zodiac calendar – with a campaign aptly themed “Renewal of Hope”.

In a move truly befitting its theme of “Renewal of Hope”, the campaign saw the collaboration between Hennessy and renowned Chinese artist, Zhang Huan, to honour the beauty of nature’s perpetual cycles of renewal through distinctive artwork portraying the brand’s eaux-de-vie as a metaphor for the New Year.
As part of the campaign’s launch and to add to its festive celebrations, Hennessy also collaborated with renowned Malaysian landscape designer Lim In Chong, popularly known as Inch, to create the “Garden of Hope”. A&W Allocates RM22 Million Capex For Expansion

A&W Malaysia, which boasts the distinction of being the first fast food outlet in Malaysia, recently entered into a development agreement with A Great American Brand International (AGABI) to expand its footprint in Malaysia by increasing the number of locations nationwide to 124 within the next five years.
Eyeing greater expansion nationwide, A&W Malaysia has allocated RM22 million as capital expenditure to strengthen the brand and its operations in the country. The agreement calls for 20 new outlets in 2020 and a total of 124 outlets by 2024.

Signatories to the agreement were George Ang, Chief Executive Officer of A&W Malaysia and Martin Lim, Managing Director of A Great American Brand International.
The event was witnessed by Mr. Dean Thompson, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the United States of America as well as Kevin Bazner, Global Chief Executive Officer of A&W Restaurants, Inc.

Tesco to ‘take over’ Shopee for Super Brand Day

Tesco Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is set to ‘take over’ e-commerce platform, Shopee this Chinese New Year (CNY) through its first-ever Super Brand Day (SBD) event. The three-day campaign from 13 to 15 January, with the Super Brand Day on 15 January will see the retailer discounting its items to as low as 50 per cent as well as the issuance of 2,000 worth of vouchers for customers.
