Kuala Lumpur, 11 November 2017– OPPO Malaysia has recently introduced the all-new OPPO F5 at the price of RM1,289. With the launch of F5, the company had their first sale roadshow in Sunway Pyramid in Kuala Lumpur on 11 November 2017 (Saturday) with the appearance of the new F5 ‘Selfie Icon’, Eric Chou. To spread excitement to other regions, F5 ‘Product Ambassador’ Fattah Amin made his way down to Aeon Bandar Dato’ Onn in Johor Bahru while another new ‘Selfie Icon’ Min Chen made an appearance at Sunway Carnival Mall in Penang .
To add a touch of glam for this stunning new device, O-fans stood a chance to meet the Taiwanese singer Eric Chou at Sunway Pyramid. During the roadshow, Eric Chou introduced and demonstrated the new feature of the F5; the A.I. Beauty Recognition technology, which is designed to take selfie photography to a whole new level by personalizing beautification on a selfie image. The first 50 customers who purchased F5 during the roadshow received Eric Chou’s signed autograph and took selfies with him.

Eric Chou expressed, “I feel very honored to be the ‘Selfie Icon’ for F5. As a singer, I am always looking for ways to connect and have real moments with them where I am just myself. With the A.I. Beauty Recognition technology, I can take natural selfies even when I am in low light conditions. Alongside the celebration of the F5 first sale which saw O-fans clamoring to catch a glimpse of Eric and the new F5, OPPO’s telco partner - Celcom brought a representative from Celcom Blue Cube who announced a special, yet exciting plan for consumers who were interested to purchase the all-new F5.

Additionally, OPPO Malaysia recently announced their collaboration with Arena of Valor (AOV), a mobile multiplayer online battle arena under the gaming company, Garena.

To spice up the collaboration, a tournament was held at the F5 debut road show for two days, using the F5 that was prepared on site. Partnering with AOV, OPPO F5 is now multi-core optimized, which reduces the pressure of single-core and develop a smooth and outstanding mobile game experience. The top ranked team received attractive prizes which included a reward card for a hero character, a wristband and a keychain.
The first sale roadshow that happened at Sunway Pyramid attracted a lot of O-fans which saw long queues which eventually saw OPPO scale new heights by setting a new record for the F5.

Available in two colour variants, both black and gold, the OPPO F5 is now selling at all OPPO concept stores and 888 authorized OPPO sales points across Malaysia or online at OPPO Official Website. Consumers may also visit OPPO e-commerce partners’ site such as Lazada, 11street and Shopee or head to Celcom and Senheng to purchase the F5. In conjunction with celebrating 11.11 singles day, customers who purchase the F5 from the OPPO Official Online Store and Lazada from 11th November - 13th November will get a complimentary selfie stick and additional 6 months warranty.
