"Experience the Curve’s Inviting Dance of Ahlan Wa Sahlan"

PETALING JAYA, May 17, 2017 – With Ramadhan just around the corner, people are already eagerly planning for the Raya festivities with friends, families and loved ones. Inspired by the Raya spirit, this year, the Curve will mark the holy month with its campaign, Ahlan wa Sahlan to the Sheikh’s Manor.

Taking place from May 26 to June 27, 2017, the main attraction of the Curve’s Raya festivities is the inviting Dance of Ahlan Wa Sahlan, a contemporary take on a blend of cultural dance styles. Bringing to life the thrill of the Raya celebrations, patrons will be enchanted by the alluring performance, with fluid, graceful choreography and the lively upbeat tempo of the music. The audience will also be mesmerized by the dancers, adorned in eye-catching costumes of flowing turquoise and silver fabric, accented with gold.
This exciting performance will take place against a stunning backdrop in the Curve’s Centre Court, inspired by classic Islamic architecture. The festive setting will feature a striking 30-foot tall dome as a centerpiece, along with arches and pillars as well as a water feature in the middle of the courtyard. Shoppers can experience the vibrant décor of traditional geometric mosaic patterns in vivid hues of turquoise, white and blue, with twinkling lights creating a warm ambiance in keeping with the Raya mood.

Encik Jazmi Kamarudin, General Manager of the Curve, said, “the Curve is pleased to commemorate the holy month of Ramadan this year with our Ahlan wa Sahlan to the Sheikh’s Manor campaign. We hope all our visitors will enjoy the Raya celebrations at the Curve together with their loved ones, especially the unique experience of our exciting dance performance. On top of this, our Centre Court has been transformed to showcase the quintessential elements of Islamic architecture, capturing the spirit of Raya with a bright and colourful atmosphere, which will truly make for an unforgettable experience this festive season.”
